3.) Equip to Serve (Branches)
Ephesians 4:12, Their responsibility is to equip God’s people do his work and build up the church.
The third step is branches. Here you are now becoming a disciple of Christ. Hopefully every day you are becoming more and more like Christ. It’s more of Him and less of you.
We believe that every member is a minister and we are God’s hands and feet (Isaiah 58).
Branches—Equip to serve
- We must adapt our lives to make disciples of every tribe and generation
1 Corinthians 9:19-23 - We will prosper as we meditate on God’s word, the Bible
Psalm 1:1-3; John 10:10 - The senior pastor is the keeper of vision and basic values–his responsibility is to turn vision into reality by equipping others to equip still others
2 Timothy 2:2 - Our leaders exist to bring maturity by equipping every member for ministry
