Family:
My family includes my wife, Keao, my beautiful daughter, Slugger, my brother, Stanton, my sister, Sara-Anne and my parents Pat and Dianna. I also have a handsome dog named Charlie.

How did you first start coming to HCKB?
I first started coming in the second grade because my mom started attending HCKB (a second grader doesn’t have much say in the matter apparently, if your momma says you’re going to church then you’re going to church)

What is one thing that you love about HCKB?
One thing I love (out of many) about HCKB is our Singles and Couples ministry. I’m not just saying that because I’m the pastor of said ministry, I’m saying that because that’s where I met my wife (I’m not just the president, I’m also a client).

What do you love most about working for HCKB?
I really love getting to see people grow in the Lord and fall in love with each other (what can I say, I’m a romantic). I also love getting invited to weddings!

Who is the most influential person in your life?
Ooh good question…right now probably my wife. I try to run most things by her. She has very good opinions. If she hates it then it probably wasn’t a good idea to begin with.

What inspires you?
I find inspiration from many sources. Sometimes a good sermon or speech will inspire me (like Randy Pausch’s Last Lecture: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ji5_MqicxSo) but sometimes just watching people do things also inspires me.

Any Hidden Talents?
Hmm, hidden? I don’t think so. Most of my talents have already been discovered. I am working on a few small things that may be revealed later.

Life Long Goal:
I would like to travel and see Europe.

Little Known Fact About Me:
I can play tennis and horseshoes with either hand (or what I mean to say is that I can play them equally bad with either hand).

Favorites:
Book (other than the Bible):

A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson

Movie:
With an infant at home, who has time to go to any movies?

Restaurant:
I like most Asian-type cuisine so let’s start there. I would say Kin-Wah Chinese Restaurant

Food:
See the above question.

Ice Cream:
I waver on this one. For a while it was World Class Chocolate, then it was Jamoca Almond Fudge, then it went to Pralines and Cream (can you tell I used to work at Baskin-Robbins?). Right now I think Mint Chocolate Chip is the winner.

Drink @ Starbucks:
Matcha (green tea) Frappuccino (but only in Japan).

Song:
Penny Lane by the Beatles. The storytelling and imagery in the song is amazing!

Food:
Despite my Chinese bias for food, my favorite one dish is Tonkatsu (with Nagoya style sauce).

Childhood Memory:

My favorite childhood memories are at Disneyland (that’s why I’m such a fan now)
