How did you first start coming to HCKB?
We were part of another church in Kaneohe for several years, and then when it was going through some changes in pastors, we felt the Lord leading out of that church. As we visited other churches in Kaneohe, we came to Hope Chapel since we knew friends who were attending here. After a couple of weeks, we knew that this is where God was calling us to.
What is one thing that you love about HCKB?
I love the people who come to HCKB! And I love that we do so many things that are out-of-the-box for a church to do, always willing to try different things and different approaches. Sorry, that’s two things!
What do you love most about working for HCKB?
I find great peace and purpose knowing that I am where the Lord wants me to be right now, doing what He wants me to do. I’m able to use my spiritual gifts knowing that people are being blessed by them and it’s furthering Jesus’ name. The big added bonus is that I get to do this with people who have become great friends!
Who is the most influential person in your life?
It’s hard to narrow it down to one person. There are so many people, both who know the Lord and who have yet to meet Him, who have taught me, loved me, supported me and shaped me into the person I am.
What inspires you?
I am really inspired by people sharing what the Lord is doing in their lives. Some of them have stepped out of their comfort zones, sometimes way out of their comfort zones, to share God’s love in some way, and that inspires and encourages me to trust God more in my own life. Also, there’s nothing like a great melody to get me going!
Any Hidden Talents?
I don’t think they’re very hidden, but I love to bake and take pictures! I like writing about people and things, too.
