Family:
Tim Ahern is my husband. Katie and Trevor Ahern are my children. We also have a cat and two turtles.
How did you first start coming to HCKB?
Tim and I started attending HCKB in 2001 when we moved back to Hawaii. We were driving around looking at homes and saw the signs. We came up one Sunday to check it out and have been here ever since!
What is one thing that you love about HCKB?
I love the people. We’ve made many friendships here that I’m sure will last a lifetime.
What do you love most about working for HCKB?
I love working at HCKB because it’s a fun, loving, supportive environment where we are blessed with being able to do things that directly impact God’s kingdom and see the fruits.
Who is the most influential person in your life?
This would have to be my Mama. She was super faithful, was always a great example of a loving wife, and did a pretty good job of loving us all unconditionally.
Who inspires you?
My husband Tim. He provides me with support, loves me unconditionally, and is always there when I need him.
What inspires you?
Hearing God stories from others and of course hearing God directly. It’s so cool to hear and see the things that God doing around us. It inspires me to seek His will and trust Him more each day.
Any Hidden Talents?
Sorry, none that I can think of. What you see is all that there is!
Life Long Goal:
To raise my two children, Trevor and Katie, to love the Lord with all their hearts.

Book (other than the Bible):
I don’t have much time to casually read these days. However, I do read a lot of curriculum books. I’m currently homeschooling my children right now, so I read a lot of their books. Also, for Children’s Church, I read a lot of books related to the ministry.

I love movies in general, so I think there are too many to list. However, I really enjoyed The Lord of the Rings movies.
Restaurant:
Formaggios
Food:
I love all kinds of foods, so it’s really hard to pick my favorite. However, I can tell you that brussel sprouts is my least favorite!
Ice Cream:
All kinds of flavors, except the pistachio ones.
Drink @ Starbucks:
Chai Latte
Song:
I don’t have a favorite song, but I like Christian Rock in general.
Childhood Memory:
I was helping my father clean the hill near our house. I wasn’t too bright and was squatting facing downhill while helping. All of a sudden I found myself tumbling down the hill toward the drop-off onto the driveway! Luckily some bushes stopped me from falling into the driveway. It was scary but hilarious at the same time. My Dad found it really funny!
